Air dryers

Air dryers are useful for preventing water from entering your diesel tanks. Every time you remove fuel from the tank, the same amount of (moist) air enters the same tank. That water condenses on the top of the tank and then drips into the fuel. Water in fuel causes injector erosion, fuel degradation, and the growth of microorganisms. Air dryers should be installed on a small set of lines with a bypass for when the tank is full.
