Diesel biocide is used to kill off any micro-organism growth in the fuel. The biocide needs to get in contact with all the fuel; just putting it in the tank will make it drop to the tank bottom, as it is heavier than fuel. Mixing is needed with a Polishing System, pump or by filling up the tank with plenty of fresh fuel. tank movement will also mix in additives.
After you add biocide, the biofilm and other micro-organism debris may fall to the tank bottom. it is therefore recommended to polish the tank after adding the biocide !!
