Njord Diesel Polishing Systems remove water, micro-organism and solids from your diesel tanks by recirculating the fuel over the system at regular intervals. They can also be placed before the engine to improve the fuel quality goign towards the engine and reduce emissions.
Every fuel tank is its own biosphere. Fuel taken out by the engine is replaced with (moist) air, giving rise to the potential contamination with micro-0rganism. The bio-component in the fuel is also increasing the moisturen levels in the fuel and can sometimes even fall out of the fuel, causing filter blocking.
